Life brings us such joys and such sorrows and yet, through it all, the beauty of a life well-lived hides nothing. This image, to me, personifies this glorious beauty as the dancer’s pose portrays a cross. Yet not a perfectly vertical and horizontal cross but one that bends and sways to the ebb and flow of a life lived in abundant joy and compassionate suffering. The bi-chromatic figure in the background represents the ever-flowing spirit in all life that is its driving force, who calls us into a transcendent reality.
